Hello and welcome to ACTSO, the Association sits as a Section of TSI and represents the voice of Heads of Trading Standards Services.
Together, our aim is to:

Assist Trading Standards Managers achieve value for money in service delivery to their communities
-
Assist Central Government, LGA, LGR and other relevant organisations develop a co-ordinated and user focused approach to the development of policy as it relates to Trading Standards Services.

Liaise and maintain links with representatives of other regulatory services in the UK, and to develop networks with other interested parties both in the UK and internationally.

By utlising the experience and skills of members of the Association to contribute to the development of policy within TSI.

Provide mutual support and personal development to enable members to carry out their roles as efficiently and effectively as possible

Strengthen and develop the Trading Standards Service, arguing for it to be delivered in a way that meets the needs of its users.
I am thrilled to have been elected as your Chairman for 2011/12 and I look forward to meeting you at one of our forthcoming events.
